Procter & Gamble had a tougher time in this span, as earnings grew only 4%. But the company's exposure to faster-growing foreign markets, which account for 58% of sales, and its valuation at 15.2 times this year's expected earnings, make the stock attractive. P&G could generate total returns of 8% to 10% in each of the next five years, says Diana Joseph, chief investment officer at Barrington Wealth Management Group in Chicago.
